Career Connections

The Career Connections Program is a four-year program designed to help students develop knowledge, skill, and experience in carpentry. Designed for high school students, community-based programs, and pre-apprenticeship program, Career Connections graduates get a jump-start into a career within the construction trades and an opportunity for possible advanced placement in a UBC pre-apprenticeship or apprenticeship programs.

A Blended-Learning Approach

A Blended-Learning Approach The Career Connections Programs can help schools, community-based programs, and pre-apprenticeship program employ a blended-learning approach using the Career Connections Learning Management System (LMS), textbooks, and hands-on shop time.

The Career Connections LMS provides teachers and students access to the entire Career Connections Program and allows teachers to custom build their courses to meet the needs of their students. The wide variety of teacher’s resources provide everything needed to develop, deliver, track, and grade students. Robust reporting and tracking are provided for teachers and administrators.

The Career Connections program is developed and certified by the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC).

The mission of the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) is to provide state-of-the-art training for members of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC).
